Kindness Closet – Partner Terms and Conditions

This agreement outlines the responsibilities, expectations, and terms under which Kindness Closet (TKC) provides donated hygiene products to approved Partner Organizations. By accepting TKC products, the Partner agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions.

  • Distribute all TKC hygiene products freely, equitably, and without discrimination. Products may not be used as incentives, rewards, or conditions for accessing other services.
  • Not sell, trade, barter, or use products for fundraising, raffles, or auctions. Items must be used only for direct service to clients of the Partner Organization.
  • Not disassemble or alter hygiene packs. If individual items are needed, they may be requested from TKC. No flyers, stickers, or branding may be added without prior written approval.
  • Submit completed anonymous recipient surveys monthly to anne@thekindnesscloset.org or bring at scheduled pick up time. Surveys are not mandatory for clients but help TKC improve and secure funding.
  • Share basic demographic data as requested and pass along meaningful or helpful feedback from recipients when appropriate.
  • Agree to and uphold TKC’s Non-Discrimination Policy (see Section 5).

Legal Disclaimers and Liability

  • All products are provided "as-is" and as available, based on donation inventory. TKC makes no express or implied warranties regarding donated items.
  • TKC shall not be liable for any injury, illness, damage, or loss resulting from the use or distribution of its products.
  • Partner Organizations agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TKC, its directors, staff, volunteers, and donors against any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from the handling, use, or distribution of donated items.

Dispute & Notification Policy

  • Any concern regarding the condition, delivery, or appropriateness of donated goods must be reported in writing within 8 days of delivery.
  • All disputes will be governed by the laws of the United States and the State North Carolina, and any litigation shall be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction within that state.

Non-Discrimination Policy  The Kindness Closet serves all people in need of hygiene products. We do not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.

Changes and Termination

  • TKC reserves the right to modify these Terms or terminate any partnership at any time for any reason, including violation of these conditions, misuse of products, or a shift in organizational direction.
  • Partners will be notified of significant changes via email or official communication.

Agreement Acknowledgment

By accepting hygiene product donations from Kindness Closet, the Partner Organization acknowledges and agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
